What We Collect

When you use the H1B Score calculator, we collect the following information that you voluntarily provide:

• Email address — when you choose to unlock your detailed results
• Calculator inputs — salary, occupation (SOC code), metro area, and education level
• Calculated results — your wage level and selection probability

We also automatically collect basic technical data including your IP address (for abuse prevention), browser type, and pages visited.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide your H-1B selection probability results
• To send you relevant H-1B updates, deadline reminders, and strategy tips via email
• To recommend immigration attorneys who may be able to assist you (with your consent)
• To generate aggregate, anonymized statistics about H-1B applicant trends
• To prevent abuse of our services (rate limiting)

Attorney Referrals

If you click on a link to speak with an immigration attorney, we may share your name, email address, and calculator results with that attorney so they can assist you. We only share your information with attorneys you choose to contact. We receive a referral fee from partner attorneys — this does not affect the cost of any legal services you may receive.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a secure, encrypted database hosted by Supabase (cloud infrastructure based in the United States). We use industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email
• Request deletion of your data by emailing us
• Access the data we hold about you by emailing us
• Correct any inaccurate data by emailing us

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell personal information).

Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for the website to function. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate H1B Score:

• Supabase — database hosting
• Vercel — website hosting

Each service has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of H1B Score after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
